Impact through Design
Designing a website corporate responsibility report is not the same as designing a printed one. In the case of a printed document, one has to think about the reader’s experience – holding and turning the pages; when designing a corporate responsibility website one must take the media into account, understand it, design a user experience and leverage the possibilities inherent in using links to external sources in order to enrich the reader.
We started by characterizing and constructing an information hierarchy. The challenge was to organize a lot of data from different content worlds – environmental, social and economic, along with links to the SDG world and regulatory content. At the same time, we had to maintain the brand language and build the report site within ADAMA’s main site, which does not run on the WordPress language.
A precise characterization created a clear hierarchy and order. Simple design supported the company’s focus conceptually. The infographics helped the reader absorb knowledge about the company. Some of the graphs that were inserted were dynamic and some were displayed as images.
We believe that we have brought the company closer to its stakeholders by making the knowledge, data and stories accessible through the design.
