Assuta Medical Centers is a chain of hospitals and medical centers dispersed extensively throughout Israel. Assuta’s staff, which includes the top experts in their fields, is committed to providing professional, innovative, state-of-the-art medical and nursing services, while striving for excellence in service and the provision of a “different kind of health experience,” which means service that is respectful, embracing, proactive, available, accessible and full of compassion.

Assuta provides medical services to more than one million patients each year, who are members of all of the HMOs and insurance companies. Most of the services are public services (i.e., services included in the national healthcare basket and provided to patients against the presentation of a Form 17 payment voucher), and we also provide private and additional healthcare services (under supplementary insurance). These services enable patients to actually exercise their right of choice granted to them under the National Health Law and choose their attending physician.

The Assuta chain is committed to striving for excellence, innovation and breakthrough thinking in a wide variety of disciplines to ensure that patients at Assuta receive diagnostic, treatment and monitoring services that employ treatment approaches and technological means that are among the most advanced in the world.

Assuta’s vision, which places “the person at the center” (and this encompasses the patients and their families, the doctors and all care-givers, our professional partners and, of course, Assuta’s employees), ensures that we will nurture and empower every person involved in the organization’s activities and engaging in healthcare on a daily basis, since our staff is our patients’ most important asset.

This year, Assuta published for the first time it’s first Corporate Responsibility Report as an integral part of it’s vision, corporate strategy and its values. To this end, a broad steering committee was appointed in charge of the field, combining employees and managers.

Impact through Design

An organization creates an impact by answering a sincere and courageous question related to its core business. Answering them is not enough. Later they should be translated into actions. Assuta’s concept in this year’s report was to answer questions around the organizational strategy and promote the perception of a different service experience by answering questions like: How do you promote a different organizational experience? How do you provide a different service experience? How do you accelerate another technological experience? How do you take care of a healthy life experience? How do you incorporate a different ethics experience?

The design highlighted the answers in each and every chapter by a strong visual presentation of images and multiple infographics. We used the power of design to show and not just tell: photographs emphasizing expressions of joy, inclusion and action, technology, and humanity were spread through the report showing the diversity of Assuta’s doing.
