Bazan Group
Bazan Group is one of the largest and most complex energy groups in Israel, operating a refinery and petrochemical complex used for industry, transportation, agriculture, infrastructure and domestic consumption.
The group is listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and directly employs approximately 1,500 people as of the end of 2022. The group owns the leading and largest refining and petrochemical complex in Israel. In addition to a wide range of fuel products, the group is a leader in the production of downstream products, primarily polymers for the plastic industry, as well as aromatic products, which are intermediate products for the production of many products, including: clothing, packaging, pharmaceuticals and paints.
The group is active in the local and global markets; the variety of products produced by the group contribute to the Israeli economy, directly and indirectly, and create a presence for blue-and-white products around the world.
The group is spread across two geographical centers. In Israel, the group’s plants in the Haifa Bay area as well as through the VPM Plast plants in the Western Galilee, and in the Netherlands – through Ducor Petrochemicals B.V. (“Ducor”), a polymer production plant, in the port city of Rotterdam.
Impact through Design
This 2022 ESG Report is the follow-up to the detailed and rich 2019-2022 report we designed last year.
This year, we continued to present, the company’s activities and how it affects the environment, society, and corporate governance in which it operates. At the same time, we added a modular and colorful language that conveys construction, diversity, and action. The new design conveyed impact through design in the following way:
A. Using colors identified with the company with the addition of formal elements that create a different structure each time in a modular way as the company operates.
B. Continuing the theme “Committed to a Sustainable Future” this year as well. The design that presented data, customer stories and infographics creates and shows impact. Data, color, and typography show what we do today and how it will develop into future actions.
C. We used the headlines, highlights, and tables of Before and Now to show the strategy and actions the company is taking toward its new vision: “Bazan Group will be a vital bridge to the future of the energy and transportation sector in Israel and will lead a transformation oriented towards sustainability and innovation in the fuels and polymers activity.”
